Chickasaw Co, IA – Driver Fatally Hit by Semi on US Hwy 63

Chickasaw Co, IA (September 17, 2021) – On Wednesday, September 15, a collision in Chickasaw County involving an 18-wheeler and a passenger car ended in a fatality. 

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place at around 2:48 p.m. that afternoon. The scene was located on US Highway 63 near the exit to Highway 18. Local sources indicated that a 2016 Hyundai Accent was exiting the highway when it was hit by a semi-truck. 

At this time, the identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. One person involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries. No further information has been released at this time.
