Urbandale, IA – Eric Christopher Lindberg Dies in Bike Crash on Meredith Dr

Urbandale, IA (September 20, 2021) – On Sunday, September 19, a Des Moines man was killed after being struck in a bicycle accident in Urbandale. 

According to the local police department, the collision occurred on Meredith Drive. Local reports indicated that 55-year-old Eric Christopher Lindberg of Des Moines was riding a bike in the outside lane of the roadway. A vehicle was traveling in the same direction. 

Lindberg was hit by the oncoming vehicle. Local witnesses and paramedics attempted to provide life-saving aid to the injured party. However, Lindberg later succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital. No charges have been filed at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
