Tiffin, IA – Ychen Huang Dies in Car Crash at Half Moon Ave & US-6Des Moines Accident News
Tiffin, IA (September 3, 2021) – A passenger was killed in the aftermath of a single-vehicle crash in Johnson County on Friday, September 3.
The deadly crash was reported early that morning at around 8 a.m. by the Iowa State Patrol. Initial reports revealed that the scene was located near the crossing of Half Moon Avenue and US-6. At the time of the accident, 65-year-old Chou-Long Huang was traveling northbound on Half Moon Avenue.
Huang reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection. The vehicle left the roadway where it collided with a tree. A passenger in the car, 64-year-old Ychen Huang, sustained fatal injuries in the impact. Ychen Huang was injured and taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. No updates have been provided at this time.
