Hull, IA – Thayne Downs Crashes with Semi-Truck on 310th St
Hull, IA (August 25, 2021) – On Tuesday, August 24, a Rock Valley man was injured after a two-car crash outside of Hull.
The incident was reported early that morning at around 7:43 a.m. The scene was located on 310th Street roughly two and a quarter miles out of the city. Local reports revealed that 58-year-old Harv Sandbutte of Sioux Center was operating a 2015 International tractor-trailer hauling a flatbed trailer on Highway 18.
At the same time, 18-year-old Thayne Downs of Rock Valley was driving behind in a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck. The semi reportedly came to a stop to make a turn when the two vehicles collided. Downs was injured in the crash. He was taken to Sioux Center Health for treatment. No further updates have been provided.
An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local authorities.
