Winnebago Co, IA – Four Injured in Two-Car Crash on Hwy 69 at Forest City
Winnebago Co, IA (May 7, 2021) – Four people were injured after a two-car crash occurred on Wednesday north of Forest City.
Troopers with the Iowa State Patrol said that three people were transported by ambulance and another was taken by Mercy Air One to an area medical center.
The four injured people were identified as 76-year-old Sondra Nelson, 80-year-old Paula Schreiner, 77-year-old Cheryl Cavett, and 78-year-old Janet Bergo. The crash happened when a car attempted to make a U-Turn on Highway 69 and turned into the path of another vehicle, though it’s unclear which vehicles the injured victims were traveling in.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the wreck is in progress.
