Sioux City, IA – Passenger Dies in Rollover at 17th St & Main St
Sioux City, IA (July 31, 2021) – A woman was killed in the aftermath of a rollover accident in Sioux City on Thursday, July 29.
The fatal crash occurred at the intersection of 17th Street and Main Street late that night at around 11:30 p.m. According to the Sioux City Police Department, a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling westbound on 17th Street when the driver lost control. This ended in the vehicle overturning onto its roof on the shoulder of the roadway.
An adult woman traveling in the SUV was ejected in the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim has not been revealed at this time. Two other passengers were treated at the scene for sustained injuries.
An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
