Orange City, IA – Floyd Aylward Injured in Car Crash on IA-10
Orange City, IA (June 24, 2021) – Three people were injured in the aftermath of a single-vehicle accident outside of Orange City on Saturday, June 19.
The crash reportedly took place on IA-10 at around 2:25 p.m. that afternoon. According to local reports, 77-year-old Floyd Earl Aylward of Jackson, Minnesota was traveling eastbound in a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at the time of the incident. Aylward reportedly experienced a medical episode that caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
The truck proceeded to veer east, entering a ditch and coming to a stop near a cornfield. Aylward was taken by ambulance to Orange City Area Health System for the treatment of sustained injuries. Two other passengers in the pickup were transported to the medical facility for treatment.
No further updates have been provided at this time. An ongoing accident investigation is being managed by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
