Linn Co, IA (August 15, 2021) – On Sunday, August 15, a two-vehicle accident resulted in confirmed injuries in Linn County.
The collision reportedly occurred on Lincoln Highway near the Ced-Rel Supper Club outside of Cedar Rapids. Local authorities were called to the scene at around 12:45 p.m. that afternoon. Initial reports revealed that 23-year-old Rage Mendoza and 18-year-old Jaden Decarah were traveling in a vehicle on the roadway at the time of the crash.
The two men were struck by an SUV that was making a left turn into the parking lot of the restaurant. The two victims were transported to Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids for the treatment of sustained injuries. The driver of the SUV, 60-year-old Lester Croy, was not injured in the accident. Croy was reportedly cited for failure to yield.
