Le Claire, IA (August 26, 2021) – On Tuesday, August 24, a woman suffered serious injuries after being struck by a piece of debris in Le Claire.
The scene was located on N. Cody Road, according to initial reports. Local sources revealed that 43-year-old Megan Marie Wentland was traveling southbound on the roadway at the time of the accident. It was then that a dump truck leaving a worksite entered the roadway.
According to local witnesses, a piece of concrete was trapped between two tires on the truck. The debris came loose and bounced off the hood of Wentland’s car, crashing through the windshield.
