Knoxville, IA – Lloyd Hedrick Dies in Motorcycle Accident on IA-14
Knoxville, IA (June 13, 2021) – A three-vehicle collision resulted in two fatalities in the Knoxville area on Saturday, June 12.
The deadly crash was reported on IA-14 near Highway G44, south of the Mile Long Bridge, at around 1:30 p.m. that afternoon. Initial sources indicated that a vehicle was rear-ended on the roadway, causing it to veer into oncoming traffic and collide with a motorcycle. The two riders were pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased parties were later identified as 74-year-old Lloyd Hedrick and 60-year-old Lisa Wilmes. Both drivers of the other vehicles were injured, along with an unidentified passenger. All three were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.
