Grimes, IA – Man Fatally Hit by Driver Running Light on IA-141
Grimes, IA (November 22, 2021) – A man was killed following a traffic accident in the Grimes area on Monday morning, November 22. Around 10:40 a.m., the collision took place on IA-141 near NE Beaverbrooke Boulevard.
A pickup truck was traveling on the highway when it failed to stop at a red light. The truck crashed into the rear of a 2008 Nissan Sentra. This caused the Sentra to be pushed into the back of a semi-trailer.
The 47-year-old Perry man driving the Nissan suffered fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An ongoing accident investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
