Deadly Train Accidents in Iowa
It is a common misperception that trains would be able to stop in time to avert a catastrophic accident. A 150-car freight train moving 50 miles per hour takes almost a mile to come to a complete stop. According to the US Department of Transportation, approximately 5,800 train-vehicle collisions occur each year, resulting in over 600 deaths and 2,300 injuries.
When a loved one dies as a result of someone else’s negligence, the legal representation you receive might make a huge difference in your case. After a family member loses their life in an unexpected accident, you must hire an Iowa personal injury lawyer with the necessary skills and expertise. It is important to submit a wrongful death claim as quickly as possible following an untimely death.
Wrongful death cases are notoriously difficult to win, and doing it alone without the assistance of an Iowa automobile accident lawyer would only make matters worse. Unfortunately, many families attempt to cope with these challenging circumstances on their own, which seldom works out in their favor.
Big insurance firms use a number of methods to defraud injured people of their legal compensation. Don’t mislead yourself into thinking you can go up against a huge insurance company by yourself. You’ll quickly learn that simply telling your side of the story isn’t going to get you very far.
