Dubuque, IA – Anita Parris Injured in Two-Car Crash at Fremont Ave & US-20

Dubuque, IA (October 3, 2021) – A passenger was injured following a vehicle accident in Dubuque on Friday, October 1. 

The incident reportedly took place at the crossing of Fremont Avenue and US-20. Emergency responders were called to the scene at around 1:45 p.m. that day. Local reports revealed that 24-year-old Courtney M. Griswold of Holy Cross was headed southbound on Fremont at the time of the crash. 

Griswold reportedly failed to yield the right of way at a red light near the intersection. Her car was hit by a vehicle driven by 65-year-old Roger A. Ott of Dubuque. Ott reportedly had a green light. 

A passenger of Griswold’s vehicle, 85-year-old Anita M. Parris of Holly Cross, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Griswold was cited for failing to respond to a red traffic signal. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
