Des Moines, IA – Woman Dies in Fire at Wilson Ave & Glenbrook Dr
Des Moines, IA (November 15, 2021) – A woman was killed following a house fire in the Des Moines area on Sunday evening, November 14. The fatal blaze occurred at a residence at the corner of Wilson Avenue and Glenbrook Drive at around 6 p.m.
Local reports revealed that the woman was inside the home sleeping at the time of the incident. When firefighters and emergency crews arrived, her son was reportedly outside. First responders battled the fire in order to reach where the victim was located.
The floor was extremely burned and made it difficult for firefighters to reach her. By the time they were able to find the victim, she was already deceased. No further information has been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the incident is underway.
