Davenport, IA – UPDATE: Diane Madesian Fatally Hit in Crash on I-80
Davenport, IA (August 3, 2021) – Bettendorf woman lost her life in a pedestrian crash on Monday, August 2, in Davenport.
Local authorities reported that someone was killed following an accident in Scott County on Interstate 80. According to initial reports, Diane Madesian of Bettendorf was crossing the highway at the time of the incident. She was reportedly hit by two separate vehicles.
The Iowa State Patrol revealed that Madesian was driving on the highway when her vehicle stopped. As she exited her car, she was struck by a Ford Explorer and then again by a tractor. Madesian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further updates on the deadly pedestrian crash have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
