Davenport, IA (August 4, 2021) – A high-speed pursuit on Tuesday, August 3, ended in the injury of two police officers in Davenport.
Local authorities responded to a burglary at the 4400 block of Amesbury Drive. A vehicle was reportedly stolen during the incident, and law enforcement officials were able to locate the suspect driver. While attempting to pull over the motorist, a chase ensued.
The chase ended in a collision at the intersection of 5th Street and Pershing Avenue. A total of four teenagers were taken into custody following the crash. Two officers sustained injuries in the impact. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.
