Clarke Co, IA – Jose Murillo-Rangel Killed in Accident at Kendall St & 240th Ave
Clarke Co, IA (May 5, 2021) – A car accident in Clarke County on Saturday, May 1, left one person dead and another injured.
The deadly crash occurred at the intersection of Kendall Street and 240th Avenue at around 11:41 p.m. that evening. Local reports indicated that 20-year-old Brian Rosales of Osceola was driving a vehicle on a gravel road when he lost control. This caused the car to enter a ditch, hit a driveway embankment, and crash into a parked vehicle.
An occupant of the vehicle, 38-year-old Jose Murillo-Rangel of Osceola, was killed in the crash. Rosales was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the deadly accident has been provided.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal collision is in progress.
