Cedar Rapids, IA – Man Injured in Fall From the Palmer Building on 1st Ave
Cedar Rapids, IA (July 12, 2021) – Late on Sunday, July 11, there were life-threatening injuries reported after a man fell from a tall building in Cedar Rapids.
Reports from the Cedar Rapids Police Department indicated that the incident occurred that evening at around 11:29 p.m. Authorities received a report about a man that was hanging off the edge of a building located at the 411 block of 4st Avenue. The structure is commonly referred to as the Palmer Building or the Old Skogman Building.
Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved party. The man reportedly fell from the building, making contact with the ground. He was promptly transported to a local medical facility for the treatment of serious injuries.
