Bremer Co, IA (May 22, 2021) – On Thursday, May 20, a two-car crash in Bremer County left a local woman with injuries.
Local authorities reported that the incident occurred at the crossing of Midway Avenue and 250th Street that evening at around 5:15 p.m. A red pickup truck driven by 32-year-old Joshua Meinert was traveling through the intersection when it broadsided an oncoming Hyundai Santa Fe. First responders were sent to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties.
The driver of the Hyundai, 19-year-old Emily Saathoff, was injured in the impact. She was transported to a local medical facility for treatment. Meinert was charged by authorities for failure to yield the right of way. No further updates on the condition of the injured party have been provided.
