Altoona, IA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Pontiac on I-80 near MM 142
Altoona, IA (May 28, 2021) – On Thursday, May 27, a woman was killed after being fatally hit by a motor vehicle in Altoona.
The pedestrian crash occurred early that morning at around 4:15 a.m. A pedestrian was reportedly walking along Interstate 80 WB near mile marker 142 when she was hit by a 2006 Pontiac G6. The driver was reportedly entering the highway when he hit the woman.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been revealed at this time. No further updates on the deadly crash have been provided at this time.
Law enforcement officials are handling the investigation into the cause of the pedestrian accident.
