Bettendorf, IA – Woman Injured by Detached Trailer on I-74

Bettendorf, IA (November 3, 2021) – On Tuesday, November 2, there were injuries following a crash caused by a detached trailer in the Bettendorf area. 

The accident occurred on Interstate 74 south of Spruce Hills Drive. A pickup truck was reportedly hauling a utility trailer on the highway. The trailer reportedly became detached and crossed the median. 

The trailer collided with a southbound truck. The Moline woman driving the vehicle had to be extricated by responding medical personnel. She was taken to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. No updates on her condition have been made public at this time. 

An ongoing accident investigation is being managed by local authorities.
