Nora Springs, IA – Update: Three Injured in Truck Accident on Ave of the Saints

Nora Springs, IA (October 6, 2021) – The identities of the victims of a vehicle collision in Nora Springs on Tuesday, October 5, have been revealed by local authorities. 

The crash reportedly occurred on the Avenue of the Saints early that morning at around 9 a.m. Local reports revealed that a semi-truck driven by 72-year-old Steven Hatcher of Charles City rear-ended a minivan operated by 67-year-old Joseph Martin, also of Charles City. The area was closed for several hours due to the crash. 

Martin and his two passengers, 23-year-old Jessica Montgomery and 70-year-old Paula Sisseck, were transported to MercyOne North Iowa after the accident. No further updates on their conditions have been released at this time. 

An ongoing crash investigation is being handled by local authorities.
