Eldora, IA – Four Injured After Car Accident at US-65 & CR D41
Eldora, IA (October 4, 2021) – Four people suffered injuries following a rollover accident in rural Eldora on Sunday, October 3.
The incident was reported at around 12:18 p.m. that afternoon by the Iowa State Patrol. A 2003 Buick Regal and a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed near the crossing of US-64 and County Road D41. The Buick was reportedly traveling south on the highway when it left the road.
When it re-entered, it over-corrected and sideswiped the Jeep. The Jeep overturned into the ditch as the Buick came to a stop on the freeway. Four people involved sustained injuries, including a 5 and a 3-year-old. The two adults were taken to Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls. The injured children were transported to hospitals in the Iowa City and Des Moines areas.
No further information has been revealed at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is underway.
