West Liberty, IA (August 29, 2021) – One person was killed after a train collided with a motor vehicle in West Liberty on Saturday, August 28.
The incident reportedly took place on N. Columbus Street. Local authorities were notified of the crash at around 2 p.m. that afternoon. There were reportedly three people traveling inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Two people inside the car were taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals for the treatment of sustained injuries. A third occupant suffered fatal injuries in the impact.
