Boyden, IA (August 27, 2021) – A two-vehicle accident near the town of Boyden ended in confirmed injuries on Thursday, August 26.

Authorities in Sioux County revealed that the crash happened at around 4:30 p.m. Local reports indicated that 45-year-old Jenner Iedema of Archer was traveling eastbound on Highway 18 in a 2015 Dodge Durango at the time of impact.
Behind the Durango, 82-year-old Donna Meyer of Boyden was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander minivan. Iedema reportedly slowed due to another vehicle making a turn. Her Durango was rear-ended by Meyer’s minivan. A passenger in the Durango was taken to Orange City Area Health for the treatment of sustained injuries. A passenger in the minivan was also hospitalized at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.
