Fayette Co, IA – Driver Cited in Pileup Injury Crash at IA-150 & Major Rd
Fayette Co, IA (July 15, 2021) – On Tuesday, July 13, two people were injured and a West Union woman was ticketed in the aftermath of a multi-vehicle crash in Fayette County.
The incident was reported late that evening near the time of 7:10 p.m. near the intersection of IA-150 and Major Road outside of Eldorado. When Fayette County sheriff deputies arrived, they found that 19-year-old Morgan Molseed of West Union was traveling across IA-150 when she collided with a northbound vehicle driven by 64-year-old Chrystyn Thomas of Calmar.
An initial investigation discovered that Thomas then crashed into a third vehicle, driven by 63-year-old Radi Vagts of Eldorado, that was in the process of making a left turn onto the roadway. Both Thomas and Vagts were taken by ambulance to Palmer Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.
Molseed was cited for failure to yield when entering a highway. An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local authorities.
