Clinton, IA – Driver Killed in Head-On Crash with Semi on US-30
Clinton, IA (July 11, 2021) – In the Clinton area, a two-vehicle accident on Sunday, July 11, ended in a fatality.
According to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on the US-30 Mississippi River Bridge. A pickup truck was reportedly traveling westbound on the highway when the crash occurred. At the same time, a semi-truck was headed eastbound.
The vehicles reportedly crashed head-on at the scene. The driver of the pickup sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead by attending medical personnel. The identity of the deceased victim is currently awaiting notification of the next of kin. No injuries were reported to the driver and passenger of the semi-truck.
