Polk Co, IA – Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Dump Truck on E University Ave
Polk Co, IA (May 26, 2021) – One person is dead after being involved in a pedestrian accident Tuesday, May 25, in the Polk County area.
Local authorities were notified of the deadly crash early that morning at around 10 a.m. The collision occurred at the 10400 block of E. University Avenue near NE 104th Street. A pedestrian was reportedly struck by an Aspen Waste Systems dump truck.
The injured party sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim has not been revealed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the fatal crash is underway.
