Sibley, IA – Heather Kruger Injured in Collision at IA-60 & 190th St
Sibley, IA (May 11, 2021) – Two drivers were injured after a two-car crash in Sibley on Saturday, May 8.
The collision occurred at the crossing of IA-60 and 190th Street at around 11 a.m. that morning. Initial reports indicated that 37-year-old Heather Lee Kruger of George was traveling southbound on the highway in a 2001 Chevrolet Impala at the time of the accident. Kruger was hit by a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 34-year-old Kaila Rae Rasmussen of Sibley, who was in the process of crossing the roadway.
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to a nearby medical facility. At this time, no updates on their conditions have been provided. Rasmussen was cited for multiple charges, including failure to yield.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
