Sioux Center, IA – Wesley Orban Injured in Motorcycle Crash at 420th St & Eagle Ave
Sioux Center, IA (August 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after trying to avoid a collision in Sioux Center on Sunday, August 8.
The incident reportedly occurred near the intersection of 420th Street and Eagle Avenue. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 45-year-old Timothy Renken of Hawarden was traveling eastbound at the time of the crash. After stopping at a stop sign, Renken entered into the path of an oncoming 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The rider, 33-year-old Wesley Orban of Ireton, attempted to avoid a crash, causing his bicycle to skid along the ground. The two vehicles did not collide, and Renken told authorities he was unable to see the motorcyclist when entering the intersection. Orban was hospitalized at Sioux Center Health for the treatment of serious injuries.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is being undertaken by local officials.
