Sioux Center, IA – Miguel Robles Injured in Accident at US-75 & 12th St
Sioux Center, IA (August 14, 2021) – Three people sustained injuries in the aftermath of a two-car crash in the Sioux Center area on Wednesday, August 11.
The site of the crash was reportedly located near the crossing of US-75 and 12th Street at around 5:30 p.m. that day. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 18-year-old Jade Elcock of Hudson, South Dakota was headed westbound on 12th Street in a 2015 Dodge Dart. At the same time, 35-year-old Miguel Robles of Sioux Center was headed north on the highway in a 1950 Chevrolet Delux.
Elcock was reportedly waiting at the intersection in the process of making a left turn. Robles was headed north when Elcock turned into the path of the Chevrolet. This caused Robles to crash into the driver’s side of the Dodge.
Elcock was taken by ambulance to Hegg Health Center in Rock Valley. Robles and a 13-year-old passenger were also hospitalized for treatment.
An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
