Fort Madison, IA – Laura Farr Injured After Being Hit on Bike on US-61
Fort Madison, IA (August 17, 2021) – There were reported injuries following a crash involving a cyclist and a motorist outside of Fort Madison on Sunday, August 15.
The collision took place late that night at around 8:30 p.m. in Lee County. Officials from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene, which was located on US-61 Business. A vehicle was reportedly traveling in the right westbound lanes when it hit a woman riding a bike.
The cyclist was injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. The injured party was identified as Laura Farr of Pontoosuc, Illinois. She was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital for treatment.
