Dubuque Co, IA (July 13, 2021) – On Saturday, July 10, a Dyersville woman was hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident in Dubuque County.
The incident was reported by the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office at around 2:50 p.m. Two cars reportedly collided at the intersection of Swiss Valley Road and Cascade Road. Local sources revealed that 37-year-old Aaron K. Barbee of Monticello was traveling on N. Cascade Road when they failed to yield at a stop sign at the crossroad.
Barbee crashed into a southbound vehicle driven by 59-year-old John J. Trauke of Dyersville. A passenger in his car, 83-year-old Gertrude L. Tauke of Dyersville, was taken to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries. Barbee was cited by authorities for failing to stop at a stop sign.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local authorities.
