Des Moines, IA – Pedestrian Critically Injured at E 14th St & Aurora Ave
Des Moines, IA (May 12, 2021) – A man was left with critical injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle in Des Moines on Monday, May 10.
The site of the crash was located at the corner of E. 14th Street and Aurora Avenue. A 36-year-old pedestrian was crossing at the intersection when he was hit by a southbound 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. First responders were called to the scene to render aid to the injured party.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities. Impairment is not believed to have been a factor in the collision. The identity of the injured party has not been revealed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the pedestrian crash is underway.
