Des Moines, IA – Driver Hospitalized in Two-Car Crash on IA-5
Des Moines, IA (October 4, 2021) – There were reported injuries following a two-vehicle collision in the Des Moines area on Monday, October 4.
The crash took place on IA-5 near IA-28 early that morning. Multiple ambulances were sighted near the Southwest Connector. Emergency responders were called to the scene after a Chevrolet HHR and a Ford Explorer collided.
The driver of the HRR sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The other motorist was treated at the scene by responding medical personnel. The area was closed for several hours due to the collision.
