Boone, IA – Alexander Zigler Killed in Collision at 219th St & R AveDes Moines Accident News
Boone, IA (June 28, 2021) – A vehicle collision in Boone resulted in the death of a local man on Sunday, June 27.
The deadly crash reportedly occurred at the intersection of 219th Street and R Avenue early that morning at around 11:25 a.m. Local sources revealed that 22-year-old Alexander John Zigler of Boone was driving a Chevy Silverado pickup truck through the intersection at the time of the impact. It was then that a Chevy Traverse operated by 28-year-old Haley Sue Swan of Johnston ran a stop sign, crashing into the Silverado.
The Traverse continued to leave the roadway where he collided with a pole. Zigler was pronounced dead at the scene by attending paramedics. Swan was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No further updates have been provided at this time.
An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local authorities.
