Anamosa, IA – One Killed, Two Injured in Auto Accident on CR X40
Anamosa, IA (November 12, 2021) – A single-vehicle crash in the Anamosa area on Friday morning, November 12, resulted in two confirmed injuries and a fatality. The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. on County Road X40.
Three people were reportedly traveling in a Ford Focus at the time of the crash. The vehicle entered a ditch where it overturned multiple times before colliding with some farm equipment. Two of the three occupants were ejected.
One person sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were taken to a nearby hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The identities of the involved parties have been revealed at this time.
An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
