Stuart, IA – Yevgeniya Oleinikov Injured in Trucking Crash on I-80 near MM 90
Stuart, IA (May 23, 2021) – Two people were reportedly injured after a semi-truck overturned in Adair County outside of the Stuart area on Friday, May 21.
The accident reportedly occurred on Interstate 80 WB near mile marker 90. At around 11:44 p.m. that evening, a 2018 semi-tractor-trailer operated by 27-year-old Yevgeniya Oleinikov of Citrus Grove, California was traveling westbound on the highway when the truck veered to the right. The commercial vehicle entered a ditch where it overturned.
Both lanes of traffic on I-80 WB were closed due to the crash. Both Oleinikov and his passenger were transported to Mercy West Hospital in Des Moines for the treatment of serious injuries. No further updates on the accident are available at this time.
Local officials are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
