Storm Lake, IA – Boy on Bike Hit by Car at 10th St & Oneida St
Storm Lake, IA (September 28, 2021) – Monday, September 27, a 12-year-old was hospitalized after being hit while riding a bike in the Storm Lake area.
Emergency responders were called to the scene at around 5:40 p.m. A motor vehicle reportedly hit the young rider at the crossing of 10th Street and Oneida Street. Authorities found a 12-year-old boy from Early with serious injuries at the scene.
Local reports revealed that Angela Sanchez of Storm Lake was traveling westbound on 10th Street when she made a left turn at the intersection. She hit the boy in the process. The injured party was transported to Storm Lake hospital for treatment. No further updates have been released at this time.
An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
