Rock Island, IA – Two Injured in Head-On Collision on 11th St
Rock Island, IA (May 20, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized following a two-car collision in the Rock Island area on Wednesday, May 19.
The accident reportedly occurred near the Mcdonald’s located on 11th Street at around 12 p.m. Two vehicles collided head-on at the scene. Footage from the crash site revealed that a white minivan and a dark-colored sedan were involved in the impact.
Two involved parties were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. Southbound traffic on the roadway was closed for several hours following the crash. The severity of the resulting injuries has not been confirmed at this time.
Local authorities are currently managing the investigation into the accident.
