Perry, IA – UPDATE: Juanita Otool Injured in Collision on IA-141
Perry, IA (July 25, 2021) – Local authorities have released the identity of the Coon Rapids woman who was injured in a two-vehicle crash in the Perry area on Friday, July 23.
The incident occurred that evening at around 7:41 p.m. on IA-141. According to the Perry Police Department, 49-year-old Ricardo Espinoza of Perry was operating a 2007 Lincoln Navigator at the time of the crash. When Espinoza entered an intersection, he was involved in a crash with a 2020 Ford Escape driven by 88-year-old Juanita Otool of Coon Rapids.
The impact caused the right front tire of the Escape to separate from the vehicle. Otool was transported to Dallas County Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. No other injuries were reported in the collision.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is being handled by the appropriate authorities.
