Linden, IA – Jesse Monigold Dies in Head-On Crash on US-18
Linden, IA (July 30, 2021) – On Wednesday, July 28, a Dodgeville man lost his life following a two-vehicle crash in Linden.
The collision was reported early that morning at around 10:40 a.m. Local authorities revealed that the scene was located near the crossing of US-18 and Sinbad Road. The area was closed for some time while emergency responders were present.
According to local sources, 41-year-old Jesse Monigold of Dodgeville was traveling in a vehicle on the highway when he crossed the centerline. Monigold consequently crashed head-on with an oncoming car operated by 60-year-old Warren Kasbohm of Montfort. Monigold was pronounced dead at the scene, and Kasbohm and a 15-year-old passenger suffered injuries in the crash.
Kasbohm was flown to a medical facility in Madison, while his passenger was taken to Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
