Jesup, IA – Three Girls Injured After UTV Accident on 275th St
Jesup, IA (October 16, 2021) – On Saturday, October 16, an accident involving a single UTV in Jesup left three young girls injured.
The incident occurred that afternoon at around 12:15 p.m. According to the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, a 13-year-old girl was operating a UTV on 275th Street SE. She reportedly lost control of the vehicle near the 1300 block.
The UTV rolled over into a nearby embankment. This caused the 12-year-old and 9-year-old girls riding on the vehicle to be ejected. All three suffered injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
