Hull, IA – Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at US-75 & US-18

Hull, IA (October 26, 2021) – A two-car collision in Hull left three people injured on Monday, October 25. 

The incident occurred near the crossing of US-75 and US-18. Officials from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene at around 2 p.m. that afternoon. Local sources indicated that 81-year-old Karen Jurgens of Hull was headed westbound in a 2016 Hyundai Sante Fe. 

Jurgens reportedly had stopped at a stop sign before entering the intersection. She was struck by a northbound 2014 Buick Encore driven by 76-year-old John Mantel of Doon. Jurgens, Mantel, and a passenger of the Buick were transported to Hegg Health Center and Sioux Center Health for treatment. 

An ongoing accident investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
