Greene Co, IA – Logan Ancell Dies in Motorcycle Crash at Orchard Ave & US-30
Greene Co, IA (June 23, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in the aftermath of a serious crash on Monday, June 21, in Greene County.
Local reports indicated that the fatal accident occurred at the corner of Orchard Avenue and US-30. Emergency responders were called to the scene at around 9:36 p.m. that evening. Initial sources revealed that 21-year-old Logan Ancell of Ottumwa was traveling east on US-30 on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Ancell reportedly collided head-on with a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica operated by 62-year-old Rochelle Guess of Jefferson.
Ancell sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Guess was also injured and taken to Greene County Medical Center for treatment. Both vehicles were reported to be total losses.
An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local authorities.
