Des Moines, IA (August 23, 2021) – On Sunday, August 22, a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a vehicle collision in the Des Moines area.
The incident reportedly took place at the crossing of SE 14th Street and Maury Street at around 8:21 p.m. that evening. The injured rider was reportedly traveling south on 14th Street when they collided with a northbound vehicle. The driver of the other car was reportedly in the process of making a turn onto Maury Street at the time of impact.
The 60-year-old Des Moines man on the motorcycle suffered critical injuries in the aftermath of the crash. He was taken to Des Moines Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The 33-year-old Des Moines man operating the car was not injured in the accident. No further updates on the condition of the injured party have been provided at this time.
