Des Moines, IA – Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Guthrie Ave

Des Moines, IA (September 8, 2021) – A collision involving a motorcycle in Des Moines on Wednesday, September 8, left one man dead. 

Local sources indicated that the deadly crash took place at the 2100 block of Guthrie Avenue. Emergency responders were called to the scene at around 7 a.m. that morning. A motorcyclist was reportedly traveling westbound on the roadway at the time of the accident. 

The rider collided with a truck that was leaving a parking lot to a convenience store. The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike due to the impact. The injured party was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
