Des Moines, IA – Driver Charged in Motorcycle Crash on University Ave
Des Moines, IA (August 1, 2021) – On Sunday, August 1, a man was left in critical condition following a motorcycle crash in the Des Moines area.
Local reports revealed that the crash occurred just past midnight. A Des Moines man was riding a motorcyclist on University Avenue at the time of the crash. Near the 1700 block of the roadway, the driver of a passenger car turned directly into the path of the rider.
Both vehicles collided, and the motorcyclist sustained critical injuries. A nearby police officer responded to the scene and performed CPR on the injured victim. Responding officials arrested the driver, 34-year-old Tina Marie Clark of Des Moines, for multiple counts, including operating while intoxicated, serious injury by motor vehicle, and failure to yield upon left turn.
