A June 12, 2022 head-on collision between a gentleman from Waukee and a Harley Davidson motorcycle being operated by Jared Eklund. It appears Judah Noble was determined, at least initially, by the trooper to have been the at-fault driver. He was sixteen years old.
So, what happened?
According to the ISP report and KCCI Judah Noble was westbound on 360th Street when he crossed the center line and hit the motorcycle head-on. The motorcyclist, 39-year-old Jared Eklund died in the crash. Noble was airlifted to Blank. Noble was driving a 2006 Toyota 4 Runner.

Headline: Iowa State Patrol: Motorcyclist killed in Dallas County crash
There is another head-on collision in Jones County on June 10, 2022. In that collision a 74-year-old man was preliminarily determined to be the at-fault driver. He (Donald L. Supple) was fatally injured. The other driver Ricky J. Larkey of Hiawatha was taken by the Anamosa Ambulance to UPH-St. Lukes.
Driving to work every morning and ever afternoon on I-35/I-80 and then Highway 5 none of this surprises me. I don’t know if it is the time of day, the time of year or economic pressures making people a little crazy, but there’s something going on out there.
