Center Point, IA – Passenger Injured Due to Falling Ladder on I-380
Center Point, IA (October 28, 2021) – A traffic accident in Center Point on Wednesday, October 27, resulted in the injury of a Waterloo man.
The crash occurred on Interstate 380 near mile marker 35 early that morning at around 10 a.m. Two men were reportedly traveling in a pickup truck on the highway when a ladder in a truck ahead fell off. The driver, 38-year-old Jamie Quinto of Waterloo, swerved to avoid the debris and lost control of the truck.
His passenger, 28-year-old Julio Solis, was injured in the crash. He was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The other motorist was identified as 60-year-old Mark Mangas of Shellsburg. He was cited by authorities.
